SINGAPORE’S biggest Chinese-language newspaper has launched a smart edition for the iPad.
Users can view Lianhe Zaobao as they would the print edition, as well as access a seven-day archive, directly from their tablet.
“Digital media is no longer restricted to online news websites,” online editor Zhou Zhao Cheng said.
“The use of mobile platforms enables our news product to improve its connectivity with our readers.
“Using multiple digital platforms allows us to showcase the varied and rich content of Lianhe Zaobao to its full advantage.”
The daily, published by Singapore Press Holdings, first launched its apps for iPad and Android in December.
It followed up in January by pushing live a web-based PDF edition.
All three can be trialled for free until March 8. The iPad PDF can be downloaded from the Apple App store by searching for the paper’s Chinese title.
