THE design of a newspaper can either draw readers in or drive them away.
Some newspapers provoke such awe-inspiring reactions they could be hung in an art gallery.
Good design is important, creating a recognisable brand and turning even the most drab news stories into an enticing read.
In the last year, Australians have seen redesigns to many of their local and metro mastheads including Sydney’s Daily Telegraph and Fairfax Media’s Sun-Herald, Leader Newspapers in Melbourne, as well as a host of titles in the APN News & Media regional Queensland stable.
