AUSTRALIA’s Sunday newspaper-inserted magazine has a new editor-in-chief.

Kerrie McCallum will take on the role in October and be responsible for both print and a new digital platform.

Ms McCallum has been in the publishing industry for 18 years and has spent the last four years as editor of InStyle magazine. She has also written for The Australian and The Sunday Mail.

NewsLifeMedia managing director Nicole Sheffield says Ms McCallum is an experienced and focused editor with a strong track record of developing products that connect with consumers.

“Under her leadership Sunday will develop beyond a fabulous magazine into an incredibly successful platform.”

Ms McCallum said she was looking forward to working across print and digital and evolving Australia’s highest-circulating weekly magazine.

“I’m particularly excited about what we can build and create with Sunday,” she said.

Sunday Magazine is inserted into News Limited’s The Sunday Telegraph in NSW and Sunday Herald Sun in Victoria and has a weekly readership of 2.6 million.
