New Zealand Single Width Users’ Group Conference

PRINT for tomorrow is the theme of this year’s New Zealand Single Width Users Group conference.
Speakers will present on new technologies in European heatset and coldset, blankets, rollers, chemistry, inks, pre-press, and press installations.
Other sessions will provide overviews of Drupa, occupational health and safety, and training.
The conference will also include visits to the sites of Fairfax Christchurch and Guardian Print in Ashburton.
Speakers include Michael Zenkel, Sun Chemical Europe product director heatset and publishing; Sue Lindsay, award-winning businesswoman; Jenny Stiles, Newspaper Works business and marketing manager; Mitch Mulligan, Böttcher Australia managing director; and Ian Lewis, publishing system trainer.
The conference will take place on August 15 and 16 in Christchurch.
An awards night will be held on the first day in recognition of print excellence and the top apprentice.
More than 126 delegates and sponsors already have registered.
“This number of attendees is a record for SWUG NZ and shows the commitment to the industry,” said SWUG NZ chairman Dan Blackbourn.
“Accommodation is now booked out and this conference will be a welcome revenue generator for the city of Christchurch.”
